The Sacramento Kings are in need of a guard that can handle the ball without turning it over and Andre Miller would fit their young team well. Here is the reported offer for Denver Nuggets guard Andre Miller via Ken Berger of CBS Sports:

"The Kings have offered Marcus Thornton and a future second-round pick as the framework of a deal for Miller, and have presented a package including Jimmer Fredette and a future second as an alternative, two people familiar with the scenarios said Wednesday. Those people familiar with the terms of those offers did not know the third scenario presented by Sacramento, but executives gathered here for the D-League Showcase surmised that it likely involves forward Jason Thompson."

Here is more:

"The Kings would have to furnish another player in a potential deal involving Fredette to make the trade work under NBA rules."

Andre Miller has been the odd-man out in the Denver Nuggets rotation after being benched by rookie head coach Brian ShawMiller would be suspended two games for Conduct Detrimental to the Team after yelling at Shaw who refused to play him.

Here are some potential trade ideas regarding the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings from Sactown Royalty of SB Nation:

"1. Travis Outlaw and Jimmer Fredette for Miller – The Kings need to add salary if they trade Jimmer, and because they can’t trade Acy or Gray in combination with another player, the only possible candidate is Outlaw.2. Marcus Thornton for Miller and Anthony Randolph – We would need to get something back from Denver to satisfy salary differences.  There are several Nuggets that could fit here but I think the Nuggets would be most willing to part with Randolph.3. Jason Thompson for Miller straight up – Salaries match.  Nuggets take on more long-term salary but get a quality rotation big whose contract isn’t too crazy."

It will be interesting to see what the Nuggets do if they do in fact make a deal with the Kings. Will they go with the 24-year-old Fredette or the 26-year-old Thornton.
