The Denver Broncos held their final practice Saturday afternoon before leaving to go to New Jersey for Super Bowl XLVIII. Kicker Matt Prater was held out of his third-straight practice due to illness via Lindsay Jones.

Head coach John Fox believes Prater will be fine for the game and notes that he hopes he’s well by the time they depart to New Jersey Sunday.

Everyone else was at practice besides Prater and defensive tackle Sione Fua. Fua injured his calf and is reportedly listed as doubtful for the big game on Sunday, February 2nd.

Linebacker Wesley Woodyard is ecstatic to depart for New Jersey, here is more from Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post:

"We’ve been working hard and we just can’t wait to get to New York, it’s an exciting feeling,” linebacker and team captain Wesley Woodyard said. “I think our coaches did a great job of putting in our game plan and taking advantage off all the time we’ve had here. They made sure we watched film, and it’s key that everybody hones in on what they have to do.”"

Demaryius Thomas had some high praise for Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. He is more from Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post:

"He’s a great player and I would love to have that match-up,” Thomas said. “It would show what kind of player I am. But like I said, he’s a great player.”"

According to Patrick Saunders, the Denver Broncos plan to depart from the Denver International Airport at 11:00 am Sunday morning and will arrive in New Jersey sometime in the afternoon. They will continue practice on Monday at the New York Jets complex.
