Denver Broncos former quarterback and now Executive Vice President of Football Operations supported a hoarse voice in Tuesday’s final press conference. He noted it was a great year that they just came up short.

"“I want to say one thing. I kind of get the sense that these questions are, ‘How the hell are we going to overcome this?’ Right? The bottom line is, sure, it’s not even 48 hours away. It’s not even 48 hours away from the game. But I want to tell you this is that, right now, the focus is on what happened instead of how we got there, what we did this year (and) what we went through."

One reporter asked Elway how long it took to get over his previous loses in the Super Bowl while he quarterbacked the team:

"“I’m not over them yet. I just added this one to it,” he said with a wry smile."

While head coach John Fox said his continual boring clichés, John Elway expressed some passion late in the press conference as he was a bit agitated by some of the questions noting that the goal has not changed in the Mile High City:

"“So the goal has not changed and will not change. We will use this as experience we went through (and) be disappointed that we didn’t play better. But the bottom line is, this organization — what Pat Bowlen wants from this organization — that has not changed. It will not change.”"

John Elway also said “We’re building like Peyton is going to be here”. Whether the next season is his last, Denver will continue to build around the quarterback position. Denver does have a few things to take care of in the offseason whether they try to retain wide receiver Eric Decker or Knowshon Moreno. Whether you’re a Broncos fan or not, you have to love the passion and intensity that John Elway is bringing to the club.
