CBS released today’s bracket for the entire NCAA Tournament and Colorado Buffaloes fans didn’t have to wait long. They would be the third team off of the board, receiving an eight seed which is the highest in school history. They will be taking on the nine seeded Pittsburgh Panthers Thursday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.

Here is the bracket provided from the folks at FanSided.

Colorado made it to the semi-finals of the Pac-12 tournament but would lose Friday night to the heavily favorite Arizona Wildcats by the final score of 63-43. That was alright because Colorado essisentially locked themselves into the tournament with two key wins in the Pac-12 tournament over the USC Trojans and the California Golden Bears.

Although Colorado will be without their leading scorer in Spencer Dindwiddie — out for the year with a torn ACL, they have a chance to make some noise on their side of the bracket. Their second leading scorer Josh Scott has been an outstanding presence in the post averaging 14.1 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks. Their third leading scorer Askia Booker will have to step up in the tournament to help move the Buffs closer to the prize. Booker has averaged 14.0 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists this season.
