Gray Caldwell from DenverBroncos.com has reported that free agent DT Marvin Austin was signed today by the Denver Broncos. From DenverBroncos.com:

“A 2011 second-round pick of the New York Giants, Austin has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins and most recently the Dallas Cowboys.”

It’s interesting that this signing is happening just days before the NFL Draft, proving that Elway and the Broncos are always looking for players to add to the Broncos roster when they see a potential good fit.  Looking at a run down of Austin’s last few years in the NFL it’s hard to ignore injury and character concerns, but hopefully Austin can have a fresh start with the Denver Broncos.  Certainly any signing that could further benefit the Broncos defense this season is exciting for Broncos fans.

By adding Austin the Broncos now have 6 defensive tackles on their roster including Kevin Vickerson, Terrance Knighton,  Sylvester WilliamsMitch Unrein, and Sione Fua.
