The Colorado Rockies (28-24) earned a much-needed win Tuesday night as Jorge De La Rosa and company came away with the 6-2 victory. Colorado’s bats finally came alive after going 23 consecutive innings without scoring a run.

Jordan Lyles looks to lift Colorado to a road series victory as he takes the hill against the Phillies. Lyles has pitched shined in a Colorado Rockies uniform as he enters tonight’s game with a 5-1 record with an ERA of 3.45. In his most recent outing against the Atlanta Braves last Friday, he would take the no-decision tossing six innings, giving up six hits, two runs, one walk, while striking out six. Lyles, who was slated to begin the season on the Triple-A (Colorado Springs) roster, is currently 3rd in the National League in win percentage (.833).

Roberto Hernandez will counter for the Phillies as he looks to give his team the series win. The 33-year-old out of the Dominican Republic is coming off of a stellar outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers last Friday. Although he took the loss, the righty would throw 6 1/3 innings, giving up seven hits, two runs, four walks, while striking out three. What’s more impressive is that Hernandez has only given up three earned runs in his last 21 1/3 innings pitched.

No Troy Tulowitzki (scheduled day off) or Carlos Gonzalez in the lineup who is day-to-day with a right calf strain.
