Don’t look now but the Colorado Rockies look to have things rolling entering a huge three-game set with the National League West leading San Francisco Giants. After losing two-straight to the Atlanta Braves in a four-gamer at Coors Field, Colorado bounced back with two great pitching performances to salvage the split.

Pitching Matchup:

COL: Jorge De La Rosa (6-5, 4.04 ERA)
SF: Tim Lincecum (5-4, 4.97 ERA)

Jorge De La Rosa will get the opportunity to gain Colorado some ground in the standings as he takes on a lineup that has been winning with timely hits and timely pitching. De La Rosa is coming off of a rough outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers, walking four through 5 1/3, giving up five runs on four hits, but he did strike out eight. Jorge has picked up the loss in each of his last two starts as he looks to get back into the win column tonight.

Tim Lincecum will get the nod for the San Francisco Giants. Lincecum has not pitched against Colorado this season but it’s really a fan of facing them. Since 2011, Lincecum is 4-4 against Colorado with an ERA of 4.74. Tim is coming off of a solid performance against the New York Mets this past Sunday, giving up three runs on six hits through six innings while striking out six.
