The Colorado Rockies saw their season long five-game winning streak get snapped last night to the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-1. Tonight, they look to start another streak with a great pitching matchup ahead.
Jhoulys Chacin will try to get the Rockies back into the win column as he has been pitching well of late. This past Thursday against the Atlanta Braves, Chacin pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up just two hits while walking two and striking out five. He has given up just three earned in his last 13.0 innings pitched, collecting nine strikeouts while giving up just eight hits. Jhoulys picked up his first win of the season last week as he went seven starts before that without one.
Zack Greinke will get the nod for the Dodgers and received very little run support in his last outing. Greinke gave up two runs on four hits through six innings of work, picking up the loss in a 4-1 defeat to the Cincinnati Reds. In his last meeting with the Rockies which was back on June 7th, Greinke gave up a season-high 11 hits through seven innings while giving up three earned, picking up the no-decision.
