The Colorado Rockies are in desperate need of reinforcements after winning just 2 out of their last 16 games. Luckily for them, third baseman Nolan Arenado returns to action tonight to begin a four-game set with the NL West leading Los Angeles Dodgers.

Pitching Matchup:

LAD: Zack Greinke (10-4, 2.78 ERA)
COL: Franklin Morales (4-4, 5.75 ERA)

Zack Greinke takes the hill for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they have been playing some excellent baseball of late. Greinke is coming off of an impressive start where he hurled seven strong innings, giving up one run on four hits while striking out 10. Prior to that start, Zack would give up five earned in 5.2 innings, giving up 11 hits while striking out four.

Franklin Morales will get the start for the Colorado Rockies, taking Jhoulys Chacin‘s spot in the rotation after he went down with shoulder inflammation in his right shoulder. Morales’s last start came against the Cleveland Indians on May 31st where he gave up six earned on eight hits through 5.1 innings. Ever since then, Morales has been working out of the pen as a long-reliever.
