These guys again?! The Colorado Rockies open up a three-game set with the Pittsburgh Pirates Friday night at Coors Field. The Rockies are coming off of a 6-4 win over the Washington Nationals Wednesday afternoon, avoiding another three-game sweep.

Pitching Matchup:

PIT: Charlie Morton (5-9, 3.28 ERA)
COL: Brett Anderson (0-3, 4.00 ERA)

Charlie Morton will get the nod for the Pittsburgh Pirates as they look to extend their winning streak against the Colorado Rockies. Morton pitched well in his last outing against Colorado, giving up two runs on five hits through seven strong. Morton would pick up the no-decision but the Pirates went on to win the game, 3-2 as Colorado’s bullpen faltered for the umpteenth time.

Brett Anderson takes the hill for the Colorado Rockies, looking to build on his best outing all season long. Colorado’s southpaw pitched seven excellent innings against the Pirates, giving up one run on four hits while walking one and striking out eight. His previous start back from a broken finger didn’t go so well, giving up five earned on 10 hits through five innings, picking up his third loss of the season to the Minnesota Twins.
