The Denver Broncos are set to take on the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday night and the Broncos look remotely healthy heading into the prime-time Sunday Night Football game — which will be televised on NBC.

Denver had nine players on the injury report this past week as they expect all but two to participate Sunday.

A key piece of the defense will be absent from the lineup as Danny Trevathan continues to recover from a fracture that occurred his left knee-joint. He reportedly will miss six to eight weeks which hands the starting reigns to Brandon Marshall for quite some time.

Trevathan, 24, suffered the knee injury in practice as the linebacker was in pursuit on a run play. Back-up center Will Montogomery reportedly rolled over the top of Danny  as both hit the ground. Trevathan’s absence will be missed but it’s the next man up with this team.

Ben Garland will be the other player not suited up in the regular season opener. The offensive lineman has been kept off of the practice field the past week with an ankle injury. Garland told The Denver Post he is ready to go but offensive coordinator Adam Gase said he could miss some time.

Not to mention, wide receiver Wes Welker will be out as well as he is serving a four-game suspension.
