The Denver Nuggets welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves to Denver for a Friday night tilt with their Northwest Division rivals at the Pepsi Center.

The Denver Nuggets enter Friday’s game against the Wolves with an 8-14 record, and are still only 2.5 games behind the Houston Rockets for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Denver Nuggets lost their most recent contest this past Wednesday to the Orlando Magic by a score of 85-74. The Nuggets did not play particularly well on Wednesday against Orlando, and must improve in order to contend with the young talent of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves are currently 1.5 games in front of the Denver Nuggets in the division and in the playoff race. Minnesota is not the team of yesteryear, where they were perhaps the laughingstock of the association. The Nuggets will have their hands full on Friday, and it will take a total team effort to come out on top.
