Kenneth Faried Gives Encouraging Update Following Scary Injury vs. Warriors

Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried suffered a scary neck injury Saturday night against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.

In overtime, Kenneth Faried suffered a neck injury while attempting to secure a rebound. Following the play, Kenneth Faried look lethargic, stumbling to the bench and draping a towel over his face. He was carted off the court in what was a scary moment for all basketball fans.

Thankfully, Kenneth Faried gave an update following his injury on Saturday via Instagram, sounding upbeat and reassuring fans that he will make a recovery and is feeling better. Faried stated on his Instagram account:

"“I want to thank everyone for the get will soon calls, text, tweets & comments! I’m doing much better a little sore but I’m the Manimal I’m not going to letting this keep me down & out long! #UnleashTheManimal“"

It is great to hear that Kenneth Faried is recovering, though his status his yet unclear following this injury. The Denver Nuggets team doctor did report today that Kenneth Faried suffered a “lower cervical vertebrae issue”, and there is no lingering neurological damage or symptoms in his spine or extremities.
