Knicks visit Nuggets tonight; Carmelo Anthony makes return to Denver
By Drew Brown
For the first time since being traded out of Denver two seasons ago, Carmelo Anthony will be playing in the Pepsi Center. After being the heart and soul of the team for seven years, Anthony wanted out of Denver last season, and the Nuggets let him free. They got young players in return who have been helped the team out big time, and haven’t looked back without Anthony.

With the Knicks this season, Anthony has been sensational, and is probably not far behind Lebron James at this point for the league MVP. He has sat out three of the last five games, but will be ready to go tonight.
Expect to hear boos all night from Denver fans anytime Anthony touches the ball. There’s a chance he puts on a show, like he did so many times for the Nuggets in the Pepsi Center, but Nuggets players are treating this game like a playoff game.
Ty Lawson is the only player on the Nuggets now who was with the team when Anthony was around. Lawson will need to play a big game tonight, and he’s been hot as of late, as he was the Western Conference Player of the Week just two weeks ago.
It should be a good one as the Nuggets host the Knicks and look to win their tenth straight game at 8:30 MT (10:30 ET).
