The Denver Broncos had discussions with the Minnesota Vikings before the NFL Trading Deadline last season regarding Allen but talks would fall through. This offseason, the Broncos have a strong chance to bring in the All-Pro pass rusher. From what it sounds like the Vikings aren’t inclined to bring back Allen, setting him up on the open-market.

In his 11th year in the NFL, Allen still continues to play at a high-level. The 31-year-old would earn 11.5 sacks last season to go along with 33 tackles. With those 11.5 sacks, Allen has now collected 10+ sacks in seven consecutive seasons.

Denver would love to get their hands on the five-time Pro-Bowler Allen, especially with Robert Ayers and Shaun Phillips set to be free-agents. Denver will likely bring back Phillips on another deal, but having Jared Allen on the opposite side of Von Miller would be the quarterbacks worst nightmare.
