The Denver Nuggets (26-34) finally got back into the win column this past Wednesday as they snapped a six-game skid, defeating the Dallas Mavericks on national television by the final score of 115-110. Nuggets small forward Wilson Chandler led the way for Denver scoring 21 points on 6-of-17 shooting, collecting 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Point guard Ty Lawson would record 20 points on 5-of-12 shooting, going 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.

This will be the third and final meeting between the Lakers and Nuggets this season as Denver has already won the season series up 2-0. Going back to their most recent meeting back on Jan. 5th, the Nuggets would dominate the Lakers on their home court, 137-115. Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson recorded a double-double scoring 20 points on 7-of-18 shooting, collecting 12 assists and 4 rebounds. The Lakers bright spot of the night was veteran power forward Paul Gasol, recording 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
To add-on to the miserable season the Los Angeles Lakers are having while sitting at a dismal record of 21-41 — including missing their star player Kobe Bryant for most of the season, they just got blown out on a nationally televised game against the Los Angeles Clippers at home by the final of 142-94. The Lakers would get beat by 48 points while letting the Clippers shoot 55.3% percent from the floor.
Denver is coming off of an impressive game Wednesday night where they would shoot 11-of-24 from behind-the-arc while they struggled from that aspect in the last couple of games. Lawson would have another injury set-back against the Mavs, suffering a heel injury but he will be expected to play Friday night.
