After hearing some rumors on day one of NFL Free Agency about DeMarcus Ware possibly becoming a Bronco, Denver would sign him the next day to a three-year, $30 million guaranteed contract.
This coming the day after they signed Pro-Bowl safety T.J. Ward and cornerback Aqib Talib to bolster a secondary that was 27th in the NFL in pass yards allowed with 254.4 per game. Ware lining up along the opposite side of Von Miller will be a nightmare for quarterbacks and will give the Broncos the pass rush they desperately need.
The Dallas Cowboys released their all-time sacks leader in DeMarcus Ware Tuesday afternoon as he didn’t record 10+ plus sacks for the first time since 2005 which happened to be his rookie year. The move by the Cowboys also freed up some cap room for the team to work with in free agency.
The Denver Broncos could likely be done signing big-name free agents as their next need will be the middle linebacker position. With Paris Lenon and Wesley Woodyard likely gone as free agents, expect the Broncos to snatch a MLB in the first or second round. However, the Broncos have Jon Beason and Daryl Smith on their radar and could possibly try to sign one of the two within the week.
