NBA Preview: Denver Nuggets (32-38) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (51-18)

The Denver Nuggets (32-38) injury riddled season continues as they are set to take on one of the best teams in the National Basketball Association, the Oklahoma City Thunder. J.J. Hickson would fall down by the baseline and would get escorted straight to the locker room to find out the next day he had a torn ACL. The season is lost already with players like Nate Robinson, JaVale McGee, and Danilo Gallinari out fr most of the season. The injuries have given back-up rotational players like Jan Vesely, Aaron Brooks, and Quincy Miller some playing time.

This is the fourth and final game of the series between the two teams as the Oklahoma City Thunder currently have the upper hand up 2-1. However, Denver is coming off of the most recent win back on Jan. 9th, coming away with the 101-88 victory at home. Denver’s point guard Ty Lawson led the way with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists. and 3 steals. Kevin Durant single-handedly kept the Thunder in the game, scoring 30 points which 14 of his 30 came from at the charity stripe.
Speaking of Kevin Durant, he was just named player of the week for the Western Conference as he averaged 40.3 points over that span. He is just coming off a performance against the Toronto Raptors where he dropped 51 points on 15-of-32 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds and 7 assists.
