NBA Preview: Denver Nuggets (32-39) vs. San Antonio Spurs (54-16)

The Denver Nuggets (32-39) look to bounce back after a tough loss on the road to the Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night. Ty Lawson scored a team-high 25 points to go along with 7 assists but it wasn’t enough as Denver fell 117-96. The Nuggets will stay on the road as they take on one of the most fundamentally sound teams in the league, the San Antonio Spurs.

Kenneth Faried has turned in on in the second-half of the season and has given the Nuggets a good reason to hang onto the young power-forward. For more on his successful second-half, make sure to follow the link. Faried got bottled up by Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka however the other night, scoring 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting while collecting 11 rebounds and 2 steals.
This is only the second meeting between the two teams all season as they will both take each other on in two days on Mar. 28th to conclude their series. The Spurs took game one back on Nov. 5th where the Nuggets would start their season 0-3 for the second consecutive season. Tony Parker would score a game-high 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting while knocking down all six attempts at the charity stripe. Ty Lawson would lead the way for the Nuggets, scoring 20 points on 6-of-18 shooting, collecting 8 assists and 1 steal.
