The Jets are probably right up there with the Cincinnati Bengals or Minnesota Vikings, options that are at the end of the line where Moreno might go on a one-year deal to be a part of a committee and hope for a better deal in 2014. Odds are, if this is all that is there for him, he’d opt to just take a hometown discount and return to Denver. Still, the Jets only have Chris Ivory for the most part, and he has never been able to stay healthy. If Gang Green want to make a jump on offense, making sure their rushing attack is stable might be a good idea. Moreno could help them do that.

With the first wave of the 2014 NFL free agency period long gone, it’s beyond clear that Moreno is running out of time to make some major coin this offseason. Miami is the top front-runner for his services and currently the only team that comes remotely close to offering Moreno a reasonable paycheck, as well as a starting role. If Moreno doesn’t see the dollar signs he wants or the role he prefers, though, there still exists that possibility that he could return to Denver and help the Broncos finish the job they started in 2013.
