This is the fourth and final meeting between to two Western Conference teams this season as the Pelicans currently have the upper hand, leading the series 2-1. In their most recent match-up dating back to Mar. 9th, New Orleans came away with a four-point win, defeating the Nuggets at home 111-107. Anthony Davis would stuff the stat-sheet, scoring 32 points while adding 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 6 blocks. His counterpart Kenneth Faried put together a solid game as well, scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 assists.
It has been a disappointing season for the Denver Nuggets due to the injuries. They saw their consecutive postseason appearances snapped at ten years while they will be finishing the season under .500 for the first time since the 2002-03′. That would be the year prior to drafting all-star Carmelo Anthony. Via ESPN, Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried is averaging 19.2 points per game in Denver’s last 17 games while shooting 55.2% percent from the field.
