NHL Preview: New York Rangers (43-30-4, 90 pts) vs. Colorado Avalanche (48-21-6, 102 pts)

The Colorado Avalanche (48-21-6, 102 pts) are coming off of a comeback win Tuesday night on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Avs would be down by two goals entering the third period before they turned it on. Brad Malone and Gabriel Landeskog would net goals to get the game into overtime. Captain Landy would strike with less than a minute remaining in overtime to give the Avalanche two points and the win.

This is the second and final meeting between the two clubs this season as the Rangers took the first meeting back on Feb. 4th by the final score of 5-1. Ryan Callahan (who is no longer with the Rangers) scored two goals and added an assist in the victory. Henrik Lundqvist was solid in net for the Rangers, stopping 27-of-28 shots, .964% save percentage while picking up the victory. Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeksog would pick up Colorado’s lone goal in the contest.
