Randy Foye Dazzles In Denver Nuggets 123-116 Win Over The Houston Rockets

The Denver Nuggets bounced back from an overtime loss last time out to the Houston Rockets, defeating them at home Wednesday night by the final of 123-116. Randy Foye would go off from three-point land, cashing in 6-of-10 attempts. He would finish the night with 30 points on 10-of-17 shooting, collecting 15 assists, 2 steals, and 5 rebounds. The Nuggets as a team shot surprisingly well from the charity stripe, shooting 12-of-14, (85.7%). Rockets star shooting guard had a rough night to say the least. He would shoot 1-of-9 from the field, finishing with 10 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. He would appear to bump knee’s with Aaron Brooks and was taken to the locker room.
Timofey Mozgov and Kenneth Faried would each put on a show in the post. Mozgov scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, collecting 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks. Faried on the other hand has been a pleasure to watch since the All-Star break. “Manimal” would score 23 points on 11-of-17 shooting, collecting 9 rebounds and 1 assist in the victory. Evan Fournier who is coming off of a 26-point night against Houston, scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting, collecting 1 rebound and 1 assist.
Houston’s starting-five all scored in double-figures, led by Jeremy Lin with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Right behind him was small forward Chandler Parsons who shot 5-of-13 from the field with 16 points. Omer Asik (12 points) and Terrence Jones (11 points) would round out the starting five. Donatas Motiejunas and former Nugget Jordan Hamilton would each chip in 11 points off of the bench.
The Denver Nuggets turn to action Thursday night on the road where they will take on the Golden State Warriors. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 PM ET, 8:30 PM MT and can be seen on TNT.
