The Denver Nuggets season comes to an end tonight as they host the Golden State Warriors in their season finale. The Nuggets are on a back-to-back, coming off of a loss last night in LA, falling to the Clippers at the STAPLES Center, 117-105. Despite the loss, Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov continues to impress in his bid for the starting center job for the 2014-15′ season. He would record a double-double, scoring 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting, collecting 11 rebounds (6 offensive), 2 assists, and 1 block. In Denver’s last five games, Mozgov has averaged 17.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, 1.4 blocks while shooting 60.3% percent from the field.

This will be game four of the four-game season series between the Warriors and the Nuggets. Denver currently holds the upper-hand in the series up 2-1. In their most recent meeting this month back on Apr. 10th, Denver came away with the 100-99 win on Kenneth Faried‘s game-winning turnaround jumper. Timofey Mozgov would have an impressive performance, recording 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting while pulling down a career-high 29 rebounds in the close victory. Kenneth Faired would score 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting, pulling down 17 rebounds and 1 steal.

Denver will be looking to play spoilers as the Warriors are looking for win number 50 for the first time since the 1993-94’ season. Here’s what Mark Jackson had to say about the feat:

"“Fifty is a special number,” coach Mark Jackson said. “Some of (the team members) never hit 50, and I don’t want to be prophetic, but some of them, there’s a chance they won’t ever hit 50 again.”"
