Top 5 Free Agents Denver Nuggets Should Pursue this Offseason

The Denver Nuggets had a terrible season compared to their 2012-2013 campaign. In fact, they just had a terrible season in general. They finished the 2012-2013 season in third place in the Western Conference. They ended with a 57-25 record, playing unstoppable at home with a 38-3 record (best in the NBA). They also went 19-22 at home, 11-5 in their division and 38-14 in their conference. They averaged 106.1 points per game as a team and allowed 101.1 points per game. Truly a great season.

This season, 2013-2014, they performed lousy. They finished with the fifth worst record in the Western Conference, dropping eight spots from the year before. They ended with a 36-46 record, 13 games behind a playoff spot. They had a winning record at home, 22-19, but played bad on the road, 14-27. They also performed lousy in division in conference games, going 5-11 and 20-32 respectively. They averaged 104.4 points per game and allowed 106.5 points per game to opposing teams. It was a disappointing season for the Nuggets, but they have positive up-side coming next year. Not only will they get Danilo Gallinari back from injury, but they have a chance to make some moves in free agency.

Below are the top five picks that I believe the Nuggets should pursue this offseason. These five players would do well in a Denver jersey and would help them get back to their winning, playoff ways.
