The Colorado Rockies (23-19) have hit a rough patch of late, losing three-straight games as they hope a little home cooking can bring them back into the win column. They start a six-game homestand tonight against the San Diego Padres followed by a series with the San Francisco Giants; two huge series moving forward.

Jorge De La Rosa looks to end the Rockies losing streak at the southpaw faces a San Diego Padres club that ranks last in runs, batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage. De La Rosa was scratched from his last start which would have been Tuesday vs. Kansas City. In his most recent outing, JDLR pitched six innings, giving up three hits, two runs, two earned, three walks, while striking out four. After starting the season 0-3, De La Rosa has rebounded winning four-straight.

San Diego will counter with a southpaw of their own in Eric Stults. Stults has pitched fairly well against Colorado in his career, giving up three earned in their last match-up back on April 14th in five innings of work. The lefty is coming off of a victory over the Miami Marlins, pitching six innings while giving up six hits, two runs, two earned, and striking out four. He rarely walks hitters so the Rockies should be looking for their pitch to hit.
