Denver Broncos 90 Man Roster – 5/19/14
By Amy Richau
Today the Denver Broncos announced six transactions and now have their 90 man roster. That number will go down to 53 by the time the regular season games begin. I posted a table a week ago with the Broncos post-draft roster. I updated that table below which lists the players, their positions, and their path to the Broncos 2014 roster.
The Broncos signed:
Charles Mitchell (S), Greg Hardin (WR), and Chase Vaughn (LB)
The Broncos waived:
John Youboty (DE), Mister Cobble (DT), and Steven Clark (P)
Mitchell has been on quite the roller coaster ride with the Broncos. Signed as a Undrafted College Free Agent immediately after the draft, he was waived last week by the Broncos but brought back as a try-out to Rookie Mini-camp last weekend.
Youboty was designated as waived/injured. He hurt his achilles at Rookie Mini-Camp this weekend. Youboty was on the Broncos practice squad last season. I hate stories like this and hope Youboty makes a quick recovery.
Now that Steven Clark has been waived Britton Colquitt is back to being the only punter on the Broncos roster.
Chase Vaughn was brought to Rookie Mini-Camp as a tryout. More about Vaughn from DenverBroncos.com:
"Vaughn is an NFL rookie who has competed in the Arena Football League, United Football League, Canadian Football League and Indoor Football League. Colorado State-Pueblo’s all-time sacks leader was also a tryout player during last weekend’s rookie minicamp."
