The Colorado Rockies (26-21) look to win their second consecutive series against NL West rivals before they hit the road for a nine-game road trip. Colorado collected just five hits in last night’s 5-1 to the San Francisco Giants as they look to change that this afternoon.

Jorge De La Rosa will toe the rubber for the Colorado Rockies. He has been on his game his past five starts, looking to push Colorado past San Francisco. De La Rosa has won five consecutive starts, giving up just seven earned runs in 31 innings pitched. Jorge is coming off of his best start of the season, taking a no-hitter into the seventh before Chris Denorfia broke it up. He ended up throwing seven strong innings, giving up just one hit, one walk, while striking out five.

Tim Hudson will oppose De La Rosa and will look to give the Giants a series victory Thursday afternoon. If you recall, Hudson’s “worst” outing off the year came against Colorado back on April 13th where he gave up four earned runs. Outside of that start, he hasn’t given up more than two earned. In his most recent outing back on May 11th, Hudson made it through six innings, giving up eight hits, two runs, two earned, one walk, while striking out two. Hudson missed his last start due to a strained hip.
