Hillman isn’t the official backup to Montee Ball right now, but he’s too explosive and versatile to not lock it down eventually. You obviously can’t trust him enough to draft him right now, but logic suggests if Ball takes over Moreno’s old role, someone has to do the work Ball did last year. That should end up being Hillman, who has mostly struggled with ball control issues (four fumbles in two years) and despite having great speed and cutting ability, really hasn’t put up impressive production.

There is real upside here, just like last year, though. Broncos fans will want him to win the number two gig, and fantasy owners should be right along with them cheering, as well. He could have legit Flex value on a regular basis depending on his role. That’s how potent this offense can be.
