I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to be pursuing Luol Deng this offseason. Deng is very unlikely to return to Cleveland after expressing how uncomfortable his is there. I find it very likely for a lot of teams to make a bid for him, including Denver. To me, Denver really needs to get rid of JaVale McGee, whose contract doesn’t really resemble his play. He’s eating up their salary cap and I think they can find a better way to fill it. Luol Deng would fit nicely in Denver, with a fast paced offense that loves to work in transition. He’s a great shooter, especially from mid-point range. Also, it would be a great backup plan in case Gallinari doesn’t perform as well as expected coming off the long injury. I find this a great trade for the Nuggets and the Cavaliers. Here’s how I see this trade going down:
Denver Gets:
Luol Deng
Cleveland Gets:
JaVale McGee
