The Colorado Rockies begin a ten-game homestand starting Tuesday night as they take on the division rival Arizona Diamondbacks. Colorado needs some home cooking after going 2-7 on a nine-game road trip; getting outscored by their opponents 46-26.
Jorge De La Rosa will go for the Colorado Rockies as he has done nothing but win games of late. Over the southpaws last seven starts, he has gone 6-0 with an ERA below two, sitting at 1.80. After starting 0-3 with an ERA of 7.58, De La Rosa is 6-3, moving his ERA down to 3.66. Another interesting stat is De La Rosa is 8-0 vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field with a 1.79 ERA.
Chase Anderson will oppose De La Rosa for the Diamondbacks as he looks to keep his record unbeaten. The rookie is 3-0 on the season with an ERA of 4.02. In his most recent outing against the San Diego Padres last Wednesday, the righty threw five solid innings, giving up four runs on eight hits — only one run was earned as he struck out three. Anderson was a 2009 draft pick in the ninth round, 276th overall by the Diamondbacks.
