Braves vs. Rockies Preview: Gavin Floyd vs. Christian Bergman

The Colorado Rockies lost yet another game Sunday afternoon as the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers was cut short as they fell 6-1 in just six innings. Colorado will look to get back on track with the Atlanta Braves in town for a four-game set.

COL: Christian Bergman (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Christian Bergman will take the hill for the Colorado Rockies and will be making his first MLB start at the age of 26. Bergman was promoted from the Triple-A affiliate Colorado Springs Sky Sox where he held an ERA of 2.04 in a hitter-friendly park. He would go 4-4 on the season in 12 starts with an ERA of 3.84. Bergman was a 24th round draft pick back in 2010 out of Cal-Irvine.

Gavin Floyd will take the ball for the Atlanta Braves as he looks to build on his last start against Colorado. On May 23rd against the Rockies, Floyd would give up just two runs on seven hits through 6.2 innings but earned the no-decision. Floyd is currently 0-2 on the season in six starts, sitting at an ERA of 2.80. Floyd was hit around in his last outing against the Seattle Mariners, giving up three earned on ten hits in just five innings of work.
