For the most part, when someone mentions Mutombo, they know who he is. Most of it has to do with the finger wag, but his play was stellar as well. He is Denver’s all-time blocks leader as well as second all-time in blocked shots in NBA history. In addition to that, he was the NBA leader in rebounds for the 1994-1995 season, NBA leader in blocks and blocks per game for the 1993-94, 1994-95 and the 1995-96 seasons.
Mutombo was a three-time NBA All-Star, a one-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year and was selected to both the NBA All-Rookie Team and NBA All-Defensive Team.
