3. Dan Issel
Dan Issel played with the Nuggets from 1975 to 1985. His accomplishment list with Denver is very long. He was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame as well as having his number 44 jersey retired by Denver. He is Denver’s career-leader in made free throws, attempted free throws, defensive rebounds and total rebounds.
Dan Issel is no doubt one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players. He later ended up coaching the Denver Nuggets to an NBA first, a number 8 seed upsetting a number one seed in the first round of the 1994 season.
