Wilin Rosario, Catcher:
Rosario, 25, was thought by many the future at the catching position for the Colorado Rockies. Rosario possesses a lot of pop for his 5-foot-11, 200 pound frame, but still shows some red flags in his catching ability.
The ‘Baby Bull’ has struggled mightily at the plate this season, posting a line of .238/.272/.405 with 15 doubles, 9 home runs, 35 RBI’s and 13 walks. Myself and Hayden Kane over at Rox Pile believe Rosario is more fit for a role in the American League.
He can fill the need for a team that is in desperate need of a power bat in the designated hitter role or can catch and flip to DH on days off behind the plate. I also have my doubts with Rosario behind the plate not only with his blocking ability but also calling games.
