Drew Stubbs, Center Fielder:

Stubbs, 29, was acquired by the Colorado Rockies in the offseason from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for relief pitcher Josh Outman, who was released by Cleveland earlier in the season.

Stubbs has provided the Rockies with defense and pop from the centerfield position, starting almost regularly once Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer were out.

He has been a surprise in the lineup but still strikes out a little too much. The former Texas Longhorn is slashing .300/.337/.502 with 14 doubles, 2 triples, 10 home runs, 27 RBI’s, and has walked 15 times.

The outfielder could serve as a fourth option in the outfield for a contender, coming up in pitch-hitting situations when they are looking for some pop or he can fill in on a pinch-run situation. He has stolen 11 bags in 13 chances this season for the Rockies.
