LaTroy Hawkins, Relief Pitcher:
Hawkins, 41, has been a valuable addition to a bullpen that has struggled all season long. Hawk was signed in the offseason by the Colorado Rockies on a one-year, $2.5 million dollar deal.
What’s more impressive about Hawkins is that he has only blown one save this season for the Rockies, converting 17/18 save attempts. The veteran righty is currently 2-2 on the season with a 2.65 ERA.
The Rockies originally signed Hawkins to close for the team until Rex Brothers became more comfortable but that never happened. Hawkins has closed for the Rockies the entire season.
