The Colorado Rockies fell 20 games below .500 Tuesday night as they look to avoid a three-game sweep against the Washington Nationals. It’s getting to that point everytime you see the bullpen in the game, it’s over.

Pitching Matchup:

WSH: Stephen Strasburg (7-7, 3.55 ERA)
COL: Jorge De La Rosa (10-6, 4.39 ERA)

More from Colorado Rockies

Stephen Strasburg takes the hill for the Washington Nationals, looking to earn his team a three-game sweep. The Nationals ace is coming off of his seventh loss of the season, giving up four runs on seven hits through seven innings. Strasburg served up a pair of home runs but settled down after the fourth. He did however strike out nine Milwaukee Brewers throughout the game.

Jorge De La Rosa takes the ball for the Colorado Rockies, looking to snap their seven-game losing streak. De La Rosa pitched extremely well during his last time out, giving up one run on four hits though six innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The bullpen would be up to their usual tactics as they blew the game late. JDLR should have picked up his 11th win that afternoon.
