The Colorado Rockies continue to plug away as they are now winners of three-straight since going with high socks. The team pulled off another 8-1 victory last night as rookie Tyler Matzek collected his second Major League victory. Keep in mind that the Rockies have been without Troy Tulowitzki and Justin Morneau during this stretch.

Edinson Volquez takes the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates as the veteran right-hander looks for his ninth victory of the 2014 season. During his last time out, the 31-year-old was roughed up, giving up five earned runs on 10 hits, walking three and striking out three over 5.2 innings. Before that start, Volquez won four consecutive starts, giving up just three earned runs over that span.

Franklin Morales will get the ball for the Colorado Rockies Sunday afternoon, looking to extend the teams winning streak to four-straight.
