1. Unleashing The Manimal

After his stellar play at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, where he was named to the All-World Team, Denver fans are excited to see Faried bring to Denver the same brand of energy which propelled Team USA to the gold medal.

It’s not as if Faried hasn’t done so before in Denver. In fact, Faried exploded in the final month of the 2013-14 season, when he averaged 21.0 points and 13.0 rebounds. That being said, playing in the FIBA World Cup could potentially be career altering for Kenneth Faried.

If a lot of people didn’t expect him to make the final dozen, nobody expected that he would earn a starting spot. Even more so, nobody dreamed that he would make the All-World Team. Faried has always been known as the energy guy and a team’s spark; however he proved that he was more than that. As Faried said to the DenverPost.com on September 12, 2014:

"“‘I never looked at myself as just an energy player. I just have a lot more passion than other people in the game, and I play hard,’ Faried said. ‘Some people don’t believe in that, because they think basketball is talent, talent, talent. I have talent. And passion.’”"

With the deadly combination of talent and passion, Faried ruled the world. Faried continued, via DenverPost.com:

"“It took a while for people in Spain to figure out who I am. But they know I’m the Manimal now.”"

We all know that by now. Denver’s secret weapon is no longer a secret. That’s what fans should be most excited about right now, Denver’s beast being unleashed next season.
