The 2014-15′ National Basketball Association season is set to begin Tuesday night with the Dallas Mavericks taking on the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. The Denver Nuggets on the other hand begin the NBA season Wednesday night at home against the Detroit Pistons.

Which leads to the discussion, where would you rank the Denver Nuggets heading into the 2014-15′ campaign? I for one am excited to see this team play with a healthy roster and believe they will contend in the tough Western Conference. Last season wasn’t pretty by any means due to the injuries which sidelined key players Danilo Gallinari (ACL), JaVale McGee (tibia), Nate Robinson (ACL), J.J. Hickson (ACL), and heck, Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler even missed quite some time. So without further or do, here’s where I’ll rank the Nuggets heading into the new season.

Ranking Denver 15th overall in the power-rankings right now is a good start for them. Don’t be shocked if they get off to a bit of a slow start with new and old faces returning to the rotation. Denver’s season will likely depend on the health of PG Ty Lawson — who had career highs in points (17.6) and assists (8.8) during the 2013-14′ season.

Here’s how I’ll rank the rest of the teams entering the 2014-15′ season.
