The Denver Nuggets look to rebound after a 109-93 loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon. Denver will be playing in a back-to-back, taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers who beat them earlier this month at the Pepsi Center, 110-101.

Denver fell flat on their face in the second quarter of Sunday afternoon’s game against the New York Knicks. After finishing the first quarter tied at 31-31, Denver was outscored in the second 31-8. Denver did respond by outscoring the Knicks in the third with a plus +11 margin, but it wasn’t enough.
Arron Afflalo was strong in the loss, scoring a team-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting, collecting 4 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting 5-of-7 from behind-the-arc. Despite a slow start to the game, Ty Lawson rallied back and put up 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting while dishing out 9 assists.

The Cavaliers are coming off a blowout win over the Atlanta Hawks at home Saturday night. LeBron James was on his A-game, scoring a game-high 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting, dishing out 7 assists while hauling down 6 rebounds. Kyrie Irving chipped in 20 points of his own, shooting 6-of-9 from the field, collecting 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals in the winning effort.
Back when these two teams met on Nov. 7th, Cleveland’s entire starting five scored in double-digits with LeBron leading the way with 22 points. Despite shooting 6-of-23 from three as a team, Cleveland won the points in the paint battle with a plus +10 margin, 56-46. Randy Foye was great coming off the bench for Denver, scoring a game-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting – 5-of-10 from three-point land.
