The Denver Nuggets are hot right now, riding a three-game winning streak as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center Sunday night. Denver is arguably coming off their best performance of the season, shooting a season-high 52.4% percent en route to a 117-97 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

As noted in the introduction, Denver shot a season-high 52.4% from the field, defeating the Pelicans at home. The team also shot 11-of-24 from downtown, making it three-straight victories entering Sunday nights game vs. Lakers.
Wilson Chandler and Arron Afflalo were solid yet again in the victory Friday night. Chandler scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting while Afflalo tied a team-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting. JaVale McGee had a solid game off the bench, shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the field as he finished 14 points.

Danilo Gallinari looked like his old self Friday night. The forward scored 17 points off the bench, shooting 5-of-7 from the field including 3-of-4 from three. When Gallo was on the court, Denver was a solid +18 in point differential.
Los Angeles is coming off a 140-106 loss to the Dallas Mavericks Friday night. Jordan Hill continues to be a double-double machine for the Lakers, scoring 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting, collecting 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Kobe Bryant scored a team-high 17 points on 6-of-22 shooting, notching 7 assists and 5 rebounds in the losing effort.
