The Denver Nuggets are red hot, I repeat, the Denver Nuggets are red hot. Denver earned their fifth-straight victory Tuesday night, defeating the Chicago Bulls at home in a closely contested game, 114-109. Denver will be playing in the back-end of a back-to-back tonight as they take on the Phoenix Suns.

Last night’s win for the Denver Nuggets was a big one, especially against a title contender from the Eastern Conference. Denver rolled to a 114-109 win behind Ty Lawson‘s brilliant play from the point-guard position. Lawson picked up his second consecutive double-double, scoring 20 points while adding 12 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 block, and 3 steals in the victory. Lawson is currently averaging 16.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game this season.

Denver’s entire starting-five scoring in double-figures, led by lawson. Arron Afflalo chipped in 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Wilson Chandler followed him up with 14. Kenneth Faried added 12 points while Timofey Mozgov had 11. Danilo Gallinari had a solid night off the bench, scoring 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting, going 5-of-5 from the charity stripe.
Denver will put their five-game win streak on the line against a tough customer in the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix is coming off a 104-100 loss to the Toronto Raptors this past Monday night. Eric Bledsoe led the way scoring a team-high 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting, collecting 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in the losing effort. Back-up guard Isaiah Thomas chipped in 16 points off the bench on 6-of-10 shooting.
