Colorado will look to make it three-straight wins as they play host to the Chicago Blackhawks. Good news for Colorado is that they have beat the Blackhawks in 8 of their last 11 meetings at the Pepsi Center. Chicago is coming off a 4-1 loss on the road to the Vancouver Canucks. Kris Versteeg scored the lone goal on the night for Chicago on the power-play; his 7th of the season.
Colorado’s defenseman Erik Johnson is a game-time decision after suffering a concussion in last night’s game. The Avs’ have recalled defenseman Karl Stollery from Lake Erie and they placed goaltender Semyon Varlamov on injured-reserve retroactive to November 15th.
Puck-drop between the Chicago Blackhawks and Colorado Avalanche is scheduled for 9:00 PM EST, 7:00 PM MST.
