Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson has been on a roll of late, racking up two-straight 160+ yard games on the ground, helping the Denver Broncos pick up two wins. Anderson was awarded for his week 13 play as he captured the NFL FedEx Ground Player of the Week honors, carrying the ball 32 times for 168 yards, including a receiving touchdown.

Ever since taking over for Ronnie Hillman, Anderson has given this team something they’ve been missing – a physical back. Since taking over as the primary running back against the Oakland Raiders, Anderson has rushed for 454 yards (4 games), averaging 113.5 yards on the ground over that span.

It will be really interesting to see what C.J. Anderson can do this upcoming week against the Buffalo Bills defense. Despite having an inconsistent offseason, their defense is one of the best in the game. Currently, Buffalo ranks seventh in the league at stopping the rush – 96.3 yards per contest.

Denver’s offensive line will need to be at their best blocking for Anderson, as well as blocking for Peyton Manning.

Nonetheless, this is an awesome achievement for Anderson, especially what he has overcome to get to this position. Lets hope the offensive line can continue to give Anderson holes to work with so we can see him pick up a couple more of these before the season ends.

By the way, here’s a game preview for Sunday afternoons match-up between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:25 PM EST, 2:25 PM MST.
