Emmanuel Sanders replaces Julio Jones in the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl

Emmanuel Sanders had one hell of a year, yet he was named as an alternative to this years Pro Bowl.  However, news broke earlier today that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones will be kept out of the game due to a hip injury which limited the former Alabama standout down the stretch of the regular season. Sanders was named as Jones’ replacement, making that the 10th Bronco in the Pro Bowl.

Sanders, paired with teammate Demaryius Thomas, was a dynamic combination throughout the season. Both reached the 1,000 yards mark while Sanders hauled down 101 passes for 1,404 yards, including nine touchdown receptions. DT on the other hand caught 111 passes for 1,619 yards, collecting 11 touchdown passes.

More from Denver Broncos

Talk about the job John Elway did this past offseason. He signed four players (S T.J. Ward, CB Aqib Talib, DE DeMarcus Ware, WR Emmanuel Sanders) and all-four made the Pro Bowl. Remarkable. Yet people continue to harp Elway for cleaning house in the head coaching department. Relax, it’s a change that needed to be made. Sure the Broncos had an incredible record with John Fox as the head coach (regular season), but what did they do in the playoffs? Nothing. Be thankful for John Elway as your GM.

The other six Broncos that were named to the Pro Bowl were QB Peyton Manning, LT Ryan Clady, CB Chris Harris, LB Von Miller, WR Demaryius Thomas, and TE Julius Thomas. Denver will be well represented that’s for sure, but we would have rather have seen them in Arizona.
