Denver Broncos Rule Out Ward, Williams, Ware
Denver Broncos just announced that T.J. Ward, Sylvester Williams, and DeMarcus Ware are ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Denver Broncos defensive players T.J. Ward and Sylvester Williams were considered day-to-day earlier in the week due to ankle injuries suffered in the game against the Patriots. However, today, Gary Kubiak and the Denver Broncos ruled out both Ward and Williams for the upcoming road game against the Chargers. In addition to Ward and Williams, DeMarcus Ware will miss this week’s game as well, further hindering the Denver Broncos’ defense.

Both T.J. Ward and Sylvester Williams missed the entire week of practice this week, but DeMarcus Ware returned to the practice field for the first time since re-injuring his back on November 8th. The Denver Broncos hoped that Ware would return this week, but he remains sidelined for another week to give him ample time to return from injury. The Denver Broncos must rely on backups Darius Kilgo (NT), Shaquil Barrett (LB), and David Bruton Jr. (SS) to fill in for the injured defensive players.
On the offensive side of the ball, Peyton Manning will not travel with the Denver Broncos as they head to San Diego. Manning wants to focus on his rehab in efforts to return to the field following this week’s matchup against the Chargers. However, if Brock Osweiler proves his worth for a third-consecutive week, Gary Kubiak has a tough decision on his hands. The Denver Broncos’ defense is getting banged up, but they hope Ward, Williams, and Ware return to action next week.

The San Diego Chargers have one of the worst offensive lines in football, so look for the Denver Broncos to apply pressure to Philip Rivers. If the Denver Broncos can do so, mixed with a solid offensive performance, they should walk away with the win on Sunday.
