Ronnie Hillman Will Start at RB on Sunday for Broncos

Ronnie Hillman will start on Sunday at running back for the Denver Broncos against the Oakland Raiders, the Denver Post’s Nicki Jhabvala reported on Friday.

With running back C.J. Anderson dealing with an ankle injury, Ronnie Hillman was still not the clear cut candidate to start Sunday’s game against Oakland, as he had missed Wednesday’s practice. Most likely, C.J. Anderson will sit out Sunday’s game, making Ronnie Hillman a good candidate to start as a RB2 or Flex in Fantasy football this week.

In other injury news in addition to the report of Ronnie Hillman starting on Sunday at running back, safety David Bruton Jr. is cleared to play in Sunday’s game after suffering an injury to his knee last week against the San Diego Chargers. Tight end Vernon Davis remains limited in practice, and is still questionable for Sunday’s game.

While the news about C.J. Anderson and Vernon Davis are concerning, it’s encouraging that Ronnie Hillman can go for the Denver Broncos on Sunday against the Raiders. As the Broncos’ leading rusher, Ronnie Hillman will hopefully have a good game against the Oakland defense. Stay tuned for ongoing updates on the Denver Broncos.
