C.J. ANDERSON PRACTICES, DEMARYIUS THOMAS SITS

As aforementioned, the Denver Broncos have not played at full strength over the past few weeks, as nagging injuries continue to take their toll on the team late in the season. The Denver Broncos got some more good news on Thursday, as running back C.J. Anderson returned to practice after not playing last week in the Broncos loss at home to the Oakland Raiders. Ronnie Hillman got the starts, and only rushed for 20 yards on 12 carries.

More from Denver Broncos

The Denver Post’s Nicki Jhabvala reported that Head Coach Gary Kubiak thinks that C.J. Anderson will play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is big for a Denver Broncos team that struggled on offense last week against Oakland, and should have a positive impact on the Denver Broncos run game.

Amidst the good news that Thursday’s practice brought for the Denver Broncos, there is some concerning news as well. Demaryius Thomas did not practice on Thursday. Thomas suffered a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders, but was not listed on the Denver Broncos injury report on Thursday.

Hopefully this is only a rest day, and Thomas will play on Sunday against the Steelers.
